Dr. Megan Mueller, MPH PhD, is an Assistant Professor in Food Science and Human Nutrition and Public Health Nutrition at CSU. Her research is focused on obesity prevention in children, parents, and young adults, with an emphasis on restaurants and the food environment. During this webinar she will discuss restaurants’ contributions to the diets of U.S. adults and children, the impact of healthy menu changes on dietary behaviors, and trends in the availability of healthier options on restaurant menus. She will review some current policy efforts in Colorado aimed at promoting healthier beverages at restaurants. She will also briefly discuss the role of restaurants as major consumers in the food supply chain.
