As a Buy Fresh Buy Local Program Coordinator II, you will:
- Encourage the production, marketing, and purchasing of local foods through outreach, promotion, collaboration, and educational activities.
- Assist local food groups in forming cooperative businesses, which may include facilitation, providing resources, technical assistance, education, and referrals.
- Network and collaborate with staff and faculty on campus and external partners to increase local foods market share in both rural and urban environments.
- Educate the public about the benefits of local foods systems (economic, environmental, and social) and how they can access local foods.
- Seek and secure membership for the sustainability of the program.
- Secure grants to further the work of the program focused primarily on the Buy Fresh Buy Local® Nebraska program.
