Spend a Day Connecting Colorado's Food System

The 2023 Colorado Food Summit will bring together food and agriculture stakeholders from across the state to help build shared understanding of the complex opportunities and challenges facing our food and agriculture systems. Our Summit aims to inspire collaborative action towards a more resilient and equitable food future in the face of uncertainty (e.g., pandemic, drought, inflation, supply chain shortages) through panel presentations, storytelling, creative presentations, and facilitated networking. We encourage anyone connected to Colorado’s food system to be a part of this important discussion.

farm to loading dock support

Join us for this pre-summit event to provide input on a Colorado farm to loading dock technical assistance landscape assessment. There is an unprecedented amount of state and Federal financial and human resource support for “farm to…” efforts in the state and we need to get organized! We invite those involved in getting food and agricultural products from the farm to institution – producers, ranchers, distributors, food service directors, non-profits.

2022 Summit Evaluation
The 2022 Colorado Food Summit was a collaborative effort, led by the Food Systems Institute at Colorado State University, the Colorado Department of Agriculture, the Colorado Food Systems Advisory Council, and all 12 of the state’s local food policy councils and coalitions. We invite you to review the 2022 Colorado Food Summit Evaluation.

The 2023 CO Food Summit program content will emerge from a scoping review by the planning committee of all relevant food and agricultural reports, conferences, meetings, etc. that took place over the last year across the state. This review will support identifying priorities, opportunities, and needs in the agri-food system.

Once these documents are reviewed, the planning committee will facilitate meetings with regional councils, coalitions, or groups by mid-June to confirm CO Food Summit program priorities. To share the priorities you’d like to see reflected at the 2023 CO Food Summit, please fill out this form. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Jenileigh Harris at jhconsultllc@gmail.com.
