We are seeking a passionate and organized person to serve as Community Food Connector for the East Colfax (East Colfax, Montclair, Hale, Congress Park, City Park, and South Park Hill) and West Colfax (West Colfax, Villa Park, Barnum West, Barnum, Sun Valley, and Valverde) neighborhoods, to work in partnership with community members and organizations to support local goals related to food access and food justice, or community food businesses, and action plan and pilot project implementation and evaluation. This person will be a leader in advancing food access (growing food, healthy food, community food businesses), connecting with fellow residents within their neighborhood in partnership with the City and County of Denver to inform food system and policy changes. This position will work on the Food in Communities project within DDPHE and will be working to address food insecurity and hunger on a regional basis.
