Curbside Operations Manager (think Food Hub)

Health care benefits, seven paid holidays, PTO
Location- Longmont

Boulder County Farmers Markets (BCFM) is continuing its online ordering and
order fulfillment year-round, and we are looking for an energetic individual
who is ready to make it sing!

As a nonprofit whose mission is to support local agriculture, we are excited
that you know how to find and procure locally grown produce, meats, flowers,
and other products that our customers love. Of course, sourcing them directly
from Colorado farmers and ranchers is second nature to you, as is ensuring
they are stored and handled properly, and packed efficiently and carefully.
Recruiting, hiring, managing, and inspiring staff has its challenges, but you
make it look easy (don’t forget to emphasize the importance of accurately
packing orders and distributing them to the right customers!).

You’ll be successful in this role because you enjoy working with people and
building relationships with local farmers, ranchers, food artisans, and your
colleagues.  You are detail oriented and know the value of a good process for
making things efficient and flow well. We love that you also want to make sure
the customer has a great experience. Oh, and it is super helpful that you’re
comfortable with spreadsheets (or willing to learn) and learning new software
like the online platform- doing things right the first time sure makes the day
fly by! Of course, things don’t always go right the first time, but you’re
resourceful and calm when things need to be fixed.

We really appreciate how you want to grow professionally and that you take
direction well. And, how you love collaborating with the rest of the BCFM team
and look forward to those opportunities to opine about the importance of local
growers and having a healthy local system.

You go home feeling great because you know that you are making an impact and
understand how important the success of your operation is to help support a
healthy community. Knowing that your operation is not only an important access
point to the local food system, but also supports hundreds of families who
don’t have ready access to healthy food certainly doesn’t hurt! Plus, your
coworkers are awesome- they really appreciate all that you do.

Does this describe you to a T or darn near it? If so, send us a letter and a
resume-like something that helps us understand why you are perfect for this
job!image.gif

time off, seven paid holidays, 65% health insurance paid by company, and
dental and vision available at group rates
