This position will be responsible for assisting the Specialty Crop and NextGen Program Manager to administer the Federal-funded Specialty Crop Block Grant Program (SCBGP) and two state-funded NextGen initiatives- the NextGen Ag Leadership Grant Program and the Ag Workforce Development Program. Position will provide day-to-day operational management of the NextGen Ag Leadership Grant Program and the Agricultural Workforce Development Grant Program.
Position will be expected to travel from time to time to conduct occasional site visits to grant awardees across the state. Travel might also be expected for participating in program-related meetings and conferences.
