Regenerative Farm and Agritourism Intern – Honey Rock Landing

Position Summary:
The Farm Interns assist the Honey Rock Landing team with on-farm activities and agritourism programs. These two areas of work will be divided up into two, rotating, weekly schedules. On-farm activities will involve learning about and helping with various enterprises including assisting with orchard fertility and IPM programming, produce safety, and organic certifications, pastured poultry, market garden activity, hive and honey production, and with orchard U-pick. The second area of work, agro-tourism programming, will specifically focus on Honey Rock Landing’s new farm stay during the weekends. Interns will assist in creating and implementing public programs that may include farm tours, value-added classes, and farm-to-table dinners as well as helping out with the on farm overnight guests.
Throughout the internship, farm interns can expect to learn hands-on skills and experience with regenerative and organic management of a diversified orchard, poultry husbandry, soil management through cover crops, soil health, basic bee care, and agritourism program development. Interns will receive one on one mentorship and be able to craft their experience to suit their career goals and passions.
