Lauren Howe manages the Healthy Food for Denver’s Kids initiative out of the Denver Department of Public Health & Environment. She has a BA in Environmental Studies from Hamilton College and a master’s degree in International Agricultural Development from the University of California, Davis. After college, she spent a year studying agricultural development around the world as a Watson Fellow, and in 2014, she moved to Denver to manage the National School Garden Program for Slow Food USA. Lauren enjoys rock climbing, road cycling, skiing, gardening and cooking, especially with her husband who is a chef-farmer turned educator.
