Session: Coalition Building to Support Mental Health

Tammie and her husband, Patrick, purchased a feed and tack store within an old grain elevator in 2008. They quickly embarked upon a journey to steward and preserve the historic facility and its relevance in their community’s future. By repurposing the structure and creating space for food, beverage, arts, and gathering, the “Hayden Granary”, built in 1917, connects the community back to the land and one another. Through the years Tammie has been highly active in the community visioning, planning and economic development realms with a focus on agriculture, education, and community engagement. “Can’t never could” is her favorite motto.
