Katie Alexander has spent more than 15 years working to support healthy soils, resilient landscapes, and strong agricultural communities. Her career began with USDA NRCS, and today she serves as the Small Acreage and Marketing Agent for Colorado State University Extension in the Tri-River Area. Since 2008, she has served on the Soil Health Committee, and since 2020 she has contributed to the Western Colorado Food and Farm Forum, now known as Roots of Renewal. Katie also brings hands-on experience in exhibition poultry and equine knowledge, which she shares with youth and community members.
At home, she and her husband are raising their three daughters on a cow/calf and haying operation in western Colorado. A proud CSU alumna with a degree in Soil and Crop Sciences, she combines her professional expertise with her personal passion for agriculture to help connect people, land, and community.
