The Chef Ann Foundation’s Pre-Apprenticeship program offers Colorado residents an entry point to a career in healthy, scratch-cooked K–12 school food. The program is also for current school food employees who want to gain new skills. The Spring 2025 Apprenticeship application is open now through January 31, 2025. Our Pre-Apprenticeship work with Boulder Valley School District, Greeley-Evans District 6, Mesa County Valley School District 51, and newly Plateau Valley School District 50.
SNAP recipients partaking in these programs are eligible for additional benefits and supportive services to support them for the duration of the program, on top of their wages earned and skills and credentials gained through HSFP. Some of the supplemental services that may be available to a SNAP participant include child or dependent care assistance, transportation assistance, rent/mortgage assistance, internet assistance, career navigation services, job search and resume assistance, and more to support their success in completing the program and enhancing their employability.
The Application and Program Overview can be found here. The application will remain open through January 31st with a program start date of March 17th. Please reach out to co.pathway@chefannfoundation.org with any questions.
