Part-Time Seasonal Gleaning Coordinator: Delta County

Role description

  • Job Title: Gleaning Coordinator (part-time, seasonal): Delta County
  • Job StatusVariable, with an average of 20-25 hours/week throughout the harvest season (~late July/early August through October)
  • Job Term: This role is currently an hourly (non-exempt) position.
  • Pay: $22.50/hour
  • Preferred Start Date: late July/early August, 2026
  • Current benefits: Flexible work schedule. Healthcare stipend (QSEHRA). Accrued paid vacation and sick time. Technology stipend. Colorado SecureSavings Roth IRA. Mileage reimbursement of $0.60 per mile for role-specific duties. 

UpRoot’s Gleaning Coordinators are responsible for helping to carry out our Gleaning Initiative in specific regions of Colorado. The part-time seasonal role is a new addition to Delta County’s growing gleaning program, and will primarily be focused on assisting the Program Manager in coordinating and leading gleaning events to harvest surplus food from local farms and fruit trees; connecting and collaborating with hunger-relief partners to distribute gleaned food; and educating the community about our food system.
