The National Young Farmers Coalition (Young Farmers) seeks a dynamic, part-time Colorado Organizer to support young farmer chapters and members across the state and help drive forward farmer-led change in the Colorado General Assembly. The Organizer will collaborate with the five Young Farmers chapters in Colorado, at-large members, and the Western Campaigns Director to: organize farmers and ranchers around statewide advocacy efforts in support of producer-led, creative, inclusive, and equitable Young Farmers policy priorities; support chapter advocacy planning efforts, plan grassroots actions, and conduct outreach to increase member participation and support chapter growth.
The Organizer will report to our Western Campaigns Director (based in Denver) and be supported by our state policy and organizing teams and by our National Chapter Manager. The Organizer will be remotely based in a farming and/or ranching region within Colorado, ideally on the Western Slope, with regular travel throughout the state.
The National Young Farmers Coalition is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, age, religion, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, political orientation, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law. We strongly encourage people of color, LGBTQ individuals, and veterans to apply.
